What we like about this Samsung 27-inch Odyssey gaming monitor

QD-OLED display

This monitor features one of the best types of display technologies for picture quality. QD-OLED is essentially an ‘enhanced’ OLED, and uses Quantum Dot technology to super-charge its color, brightness, and contrast. They’re ideal for gaming, as they really showcase games in their best possible light, but they’re also exceptional for content creators, designers, and anyone else who needs something with a wide color range and increased color accuracy.

High refresh rate and very low response time

Boasting a 360Hz refresh rate, this Samsung monitor is designed very much with extremely high fps gaming in mind. What’s more, it also has a lower-than-average 0.03ms response time, which will drastically reduce any chances of motion blur, even at high fps.

QHD resolution on a 27-inch screen

1440p on this size screen is ideal, as it’s small enough that it looks incredibly clear, but without having to spend the big bucks on 4K. It also makes this monitor far more accessible for mid-range gaming PC builds that can hit 1440p at 100fps+, but may struggle at 4K.

Deals season is here folks, and with it comes huge savings on some of the market’s most popular hardware. Below, we be listing today’s best PC hardware deals, including GPUs, CPUs, motherboards, gaming PCs, and more.

Advanced cooling and burn-in protection

You’ve got a Thermal modulation system which automatically controls brightness by monitoring surface temperature, logo, and taskbar detection, a screen saver, and overall improvements to cooling and heat dissipation.

Super sleek

Probably one of Samsung’s best-looking monitors, this is just 3.9mm at its thinnest point, and features CoreLighting for a touch of visual interest.

Who’s this monitor for?

This monitor can be paired with a wide range of different setups, but we’d say that to really get the most out of its refresh rate and QD-OLED display, it’s better for more high-end QHD PC builds. You’re probably looking at something with an RTX 5070Ti or similar, which can comfortably pass 200fps at 1440p in most games and is able to handle ray tracing. Its $649.99 price tag is on the more expensive side, but this is a super premium monitor in both performance and design.
