Able To Leap An RX 7700 XT In A Single Bound, And For Less Money

The RX 7700XT was released almost two years ago for a theoretical $450, in actuality it was significantly more than that until quite recently.  The new 16GB RX 9060 XT sports a theoretical price tag of $350; overclocked versions like the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ that The FPS Review recently should be around $400.  Sadly you won’t be able to grab one for less than around $400 for the base model, with some overclocked versions selling for over $500.  This is a long standing issue which has been driving gamers insane for years and doesn’t seem to be anywhere close to a resolution..

Performance-wise the SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX 9060 XT, which only comes as a 16GB card, gives NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 Ti a run for it’s money except in games that prioritize ray tracing.  That’s not to say you won’t be able to enjoy ray tracing on the RX 9060 XT, just that you will need to use upscaling and keep the ray tracing settings at a reasonable level.  The RX 9060 XT is also less expensive than the RTX 5060 Ti, or at least it should be, which could really help AMD’s sales as the $400 price is much more affordable than the higher end cards we’ve been seeing released, especially without the overly inflated prices.

Check out it’s performance at The FPS Review, running at the factory overclock it comes with as well as the best manual overclock they could achieve.
