You’ll be getting not one, but two tests today, as AMD launches two models in its RX 9070 series. These new cards will be available for purchase this Thursday, March 6. So today we’ll be reviewing the ASUS TUF Gaming RX 9070 OC and this Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Gaming OC. These cards are eagerly awaited, firstly because of the delay of these references, which we were expecting in January, but above all because of their performance in the face of the new generation of RTX 5000s, which is struggling to convince. AMD has made its intentions clear: no ultra-high-end models, just mid-range cards.
In fact, it’s fair to say that there was a certain amount of excitement within the editorial team before starting these tests, to find out whether AMD was on the way to overshadowing Nvidia in 1440p and 2160p definition. Before getting down to business, AMD announced an MSRP of $549 for the RX 9070 and $599 for the RX 9070 XT. On the green side, prices are $549 for the RTX 5070 and $749 for the RTX 5070 Ti. Needless to say, this is an article that’s likely to keep you on the edge of your seat all the way to the end, especially as we’ve just received the MSRP prices in euros with €629 for the RX 9070 and €689.95 for the RX 9070 XT!
Thanks to Gigabyte France for making this copy of the Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Gaming OC available to us.
