We think it’s fair to say that Nioh 3 is one of the most anticipated games of the year. As you can probably guess, it’s a direct sequel to the highly praised Nioh 2, which was released back in 2020. If you’re interested in the franchise, you’ll be happy to learn that the third entry is scheduled to release today, on February 5.

Nioh 3 continues the dark samurai action RPG formula the series is known for, while introducing some new elements. The game is set in an alternate version of Japan’s Warring States period, a world filled with chaos, bandits, and dangerous yokai. With that said, the game is also available with an early discount, which is great news for those planning to jump in on day one.

When will Nioh 3 release today on PC?

According to Team Ninja and SteamDB, Nioh 3 will launch on PC on February 5, at 9 PM PST (launch times for PS5 vary per region, though most are midnight on Feb 6, local time). Here’s a list of PC launch times across a range of regions:

  • Los Angeles (PST) – 9 PM (February 5)
  • Chicago (CST) – 11 PM (February 5)
  • New York (EST) – 12 AM (February 6)
  • Brasilia (BRT) – 2 AM (February 6)
  • London (GMT) – 5 AM (February 6)
  • Paris (CET) – 6 AM (February 6)
  • Cairo (EET) – 7 AM (February 6)
  • Dubai (GST) – 9 AM (February 6)
  • Beijing (CST) – 1 PM (February 6)
  • Tokyo (JST) – 2 PM (February 6)
  • Sydney (AEDT) – 4 PM (February 6)
  • Wellington (NZDT) – 6 PM (February 6)

We’ve also added a countdown clock above, which will track the exact hours, minutes, and seconds left until the game launches. Note: if the clock has disappeared, that means the game has been released, and you can jump into it now.

Compared to its predecessors, Nioh 3 also adds more flexibility when it comes to combat, as you can instantly switch between two combat styles. Samurai Style is built around direct combat, precision, and strength, making it ideal for facing enemies head-on. Ninja Style focuses on speed, movement, and special techniques, allowing for faster attacks. Additionally, the game has moved towards a more open-field structure. Instead of closed levels, the game offers larger areas that still maintain the tension the series is known for.
