The newly announced Light Purple and Light Green Joy-Con 2 Controllers for Nintendo Switch 2 are available to preorder at major retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and GameStop. Just like the Light Blue/Red Joy-Con 2 bundled with the Switch 2 console, the upcoming controllers are black with colorful accents. Both controllers come with matching wrist straps that can also be used for mouse controls.

The Light Purple/Green Joy-Con 2 set releases February 12, the same day as Mario Tennis Fever, which supports single Joy-Con motion controls for up to four players on one console.

As mentioned, it’s probably not a coincidence that the launch date for the new Joy-Con 2 set matches Mario Tennis Fever. Motion controls are a natural fit for an arcade sports game where the main focus is swinging a racket. Mario Tennis Fever’s physical edition–the full game is on the card–is up for preorder at Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and GameStop.

Mario Tennis Fever, Mario Kart World, and other Switch 2 games with motion controls are compatible with the original Switch Joy-Con. Unfortunately, Switch Joy-Con, like most Nintendo accessories, were subject to price increases last year due to tariffs. Original Switch Joy-Con retail for $90 for a set, but at least they come in more colorful options.

The Light Purple/Green Joy-Con 2 set isn’t the only new first-party Nintendo Switch 2 controller releasing in February. The first Switch 2 Pro Controller themed around a game launches February 27. The Resident Evil Requiem Switch 2 Pro Controller is available to preorder at Best Buy and Walmart for $100; Amazon sold out of preorders months ago, and the listing still says “temporarily out of stock.” The Resident Evil Requiem Edition is $10 more than the standard edition Switch 2 Pro Controller.
