Season 1 of Vivienne Medrano’s hit adult animated musical TV series Hazbin Hotel sets up a handful of burning enmities and rivalries. At New York Comic Con’s Hazbin Hotel panel, Prime Video released two new season 2 clips that show how those plots heat up as season 2, coming to Prime Video on Oct. 29, adds fuel to the fire.

In season 1 of the show, fallen angel Lucifer Morningstar and conniving radio demon Alastor compete for the attention and loyalty of Lucifer’s daughter Charlie (Erika Henningsen), the series’ do-gooder protagonist, who wants to redeem sinners from Hell and send them to Heaven. Charlie’s girlfriend Vaggie faces off against her former angelic teammate Lute, who loathes everyone in Hell and thinks they deserve permanent death. Alastor and TV demon Vox battle for supremacy over Hell.

And above all, Heaven — represented by Lute (Jessica Vosk) and her boss Adam (Alex Brightman), the first man and now leader of Heaven’s demon-extermination army — battles Hell, though it’s a one-sided battle until Charlie stands up for Hell and Adam (spoiler alert!) ends up dead. The first clip from the NYCC panel, showcasing the song “Gravity” (now available on various digital music services) has Lute blaming Charlie for Adam’s death and swearing revenge. Specifically, she suggests she’s going to kill Vaggie so Charlie understands what it feels like to lose someone who defined her existence.

Tempers run hot in “Gravity,” but in the second NYCC clip, Vox keeps a much cooler head as he sees an opportunity to take control of Hell. The clip features him laying out his plan to his cohorts Valentino and Velvette — a plan first teased in the final song of season 1, then again in the teaser and trailer for season 1.

The panel also revealed more information about the live Hazbin Hotel Broadway concert, a one-night event taking place Oct. 20 in New York City. Erika Henningsen will host; series regulars Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Alex Brightman, Christian Borle, Jessica Vosk, Jeremy Jordan, and Krystina Alabado will perform, singing songs from season 1 and 2. Stephanie Beatriz and Kimiko Glenn were announced for “special appearances” at the event. Fans can request tickets at the event’s page online. A statement from Prime Video says the concert “will be available on Prime Video at a later date.”

Finally, the panel revealed an NYCC exclusive collectors’ vinyl edition of the season 2 soundtrack, which can be ordered at the series’ music website for the next 72 hours, alongside CD and cassette (cassette?!) versions of the soundtrack.
